Come join us for the 2nd Annual Scrapbooking Spooktacular Fundraiser, Proceeds will go to the Thompson Community Center for the Sprinkler System Campaign.
Mark your calendars, organize your pictures and get all your supplies ready for 14 hours of non-stop scrapbooking, food, fun, games, prizes and lots of laughter!
The Spooktacular October fundraising crop will be held from 10:00 am on Saturday October 22, until Midnight. It will be $25 and all proceeds will go to the Thompson Community Center for the Sprinkler System Campaign. We will serve Lunch, Snacks and Supper. There will be a Swap/Sell table like last year. Also, if you would like to bring any of your albums (completed or working on) we will have a table set up for “Albums on Parade” so you can share your work and ideas with others. There will be games and door prizes. Please bring a dessert or Soda/Drink and you will receive an extra ticket for the door prize drawings.
We will have vendors from Creative Memories, Close to My Heart and Shanie from True Value. We recently added a vendor from Stampin’ Up as well!

It’s not uncommon to be searching for quotes and cheap scrapbooking supplies.Even if you are very creative, it really helps to see what other scrappers are doing with their scrapbook albums, and of course most scrapbookers need inspiration with quotes.  While you can of course browse online for quotes and ideas for scrapbooking, there are some other surprising places where you might find some good ideas for your albums and some good quotes you can use.  Let’s take a look at what we mean.

As an example, have you thought about using favorite phrases and sayings from movies or even their titles as your scrapbooking quotes and poems?If you want to do a layout around a photograph of someone playing a certain sport, think about movies about that sport.  For soccer pages, use the movie title “Bend it Like Beckham.”For a layout about a female athlete, the title “Million Dollar Baby” might work well.  For golf games, consider the phrase, “Pushing Some Tin.”

There are other ways to use television shows and movies for quotes and ideas in scrapbooking in general.Consider saying like “What’s Up Doc?” or “I love it when a plan comes together.”  These can work well for just about any type of scrapbook page or album.

Some other movie and television quotes and ideas for scrapbooking might include sayings like “I’ll be back,” or “D’oh!”  You can watch your favorite shows over again with the idea of considering famous quotes or your favorite sayings that would work well for scrapbooks.Keep paper and a pen near your television or nightstand, and when you remember or hear something you can write it down right away.

You could even include game shows that have well-known phrases or saying for your quotes and ideas for scrapbooking.  For example, if you have a picture of someone splurging in a new purchase you could use as your title, “The price was right!” Or titles like “Family Fued”!” or “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” or “Joker’s Wild!” can work for other pages as well.

If you begin to think of how television and movies can provide great quotes and ideas for scrapbooking, you may be surprised at the wealth of options you get.  There are always funny or amusing scrapbooking poems quotes you can use if you keep your eyes and your ears open for them and remember to write them down.
