Going to a scrapbooking crop

Going to a scrapbooking crop? Don’t waste half your time trying to figure out what you’re going to do, because you know you would rather be talking or swapping with friends and getting your memories into albums. Right? Follow these simple steps and you’ll be ready to get scrapbooking the minute you arrive.

  1. Get ready to be organized by gathering the things you will need. You’ll need 2-gallon zip baggies to put everything in for each layout and a sandwich baggie. 12 X 12 paper fits nicely in a 2-gallon bag. Plus, you’ll want a way to label each thing if you will have more than one page kit.
  2. Choose your photos and sketch your layout. This way you’ll have an idea of what you’re going to do the minute you open this bag. You won’t have to try and remember anything, it will be right in front of you.
  3. Pick your paper. Pick 6 sheets for every 2-page layout to be safe. You never know what you’ll want to make out of the paper at the crop. Better to have too much then not enough.
  4. Choose your embellishments. Theme from the photos, place them in a separate baggie - sandwich size - or they may poke through your paper.
  5. Choose title stickers/letters and pen/markers. What is this page going to say for you? Cut out some letters, whole alphas if you have the very easy sizzix sidekick stripe alphas, or use letter stickers/ribbons. Add a matching pen or marker.

Enjoy your layouts! and visit my site if you need to see some sketches, titles or journaling ideas.
