This is a total no frills crop. Lots of restaurants and eateries in the area for your lunch/dinner enjoyment, many of which will deliver. Ample parking, airy room. Charity & other raffles will be held, and we’re happy to announce two exciting vendors with lots of products for your last-minute scrapping needs!

Weekend Scrapbook Retreat – Iowa

What is the difference?

7th from 9 am to 11 pm

Come see what fun the elves have in store for you this year! When?
Friday and Saturday, November 6th and 7th. Where? St. Martin of the
Fields. Cost is $35 for one day or $65 for both days. And what would
a Croppin in Columbia crop be without amazing food? Lunch and Dinner
will be served both Friday and Saturday. We have all kinds of
surprises in store, and lots of vendors will be there to help you
with your holiday shopping! Memories in the Making will be there,
selling some of the latest and greatest from some of your favorite
companies!

Along with this crop we are doing a toy drive for Toys for Tots. For
each unwrapped toy you bring, you will get an extra ticket for the
big door prize. Help us bring some holiday cheer to children in need,
and have a great time while we’re at it!

Everyone should have a hobby to help them relax. For some it may be collecting unique bottles or antique vases. For others it may be scrapbooking. Putting together your own scrapbook pages is a great way to relax and have a way to display your pictures. Anyone of any age can put together simple scrapbooks. It just takes some time, some careful cutting and a few supplies. In no time, you can be on your way to creating a scrapbook prepared just the way you like it.

The first thing you should know about scrapbooking is that anyone can do it if they have some spare time. Once you get the right supplies you will be able to get started. You are going to need scrapbook paper, a scrapbook album, scissors and maybe even some rubber stamping equipment. You will also need to gather together all of the pictures that you wish to add to your album. They can be anything of interest to you.

You can find many pre-made scrapbook pages at a scrapbook store. If you do not have one located close to you, you can always find scrapbook supplies at your local Hobby Lobby or Michael’s Craft Store. You can also go online to Ebay and find scrapbook supplies for a very reasonable amount. The shipping and handling charges should not be much either. While you are there look for the right tools to help make the job easier.

There are certain scrapbooking tools that you will need to have in order to get started. You will need the right cutters, scissors and stickers to add accents to each of your pictures. You may also want to invest in some special pens that will not fade or damage the scrapbook album in any way. These pens come in a variety of colors and inks so they will look fantastic in your scrapbook album.

Scrapbooking can be the best hobby you will ever find if you take the time required for the assembly. People of all ages scrapbook each day and find enjoyment in simply remembering the fond times when they rediscover their old pictures. You will have a blast writing captions and making notes of great vacations, family events and pictures of everyone you love. It is easy as can be so get started on it soon!
